You want me to send you my meter? I have all the hookups (adapters) also. Most cases if you used the Honda CB and antenna you don't have to set the SWR. If you use after market antenna uyou might need to set it. Either way let me know.

That would be great - how do you adjust them? I knolw on the old CBs it was a matter of adjusting the length of the antenna mast - not sure how to go about doing it with a fiberglass mast

Who would the old truck driver be? No one but us four should see this post. I am assuming Fred mistakenly posted it here.

Fred if your fiberglass ant measures electrically long, SWR higher on ch40 than ch1, you have to take the little plastic cap off the tip and trim one loop of wire at a time off till you get a good SWR. From what I've heard the seirra's are pretty good from the factory. I've not checked mine yet and that was why I asked about yours.
Bruce could you bring your meter to the KSL and we can check them?

As being a old truck driver (42 years) I don't think that the swr's would be a problem with the CB's on a goldwing..this radio doesn't have enough power to talk over 1-2 miles at it's best...it is just better than yelling "hey you"...if you can talk & someone can hear you & if you can hear what someone else is saying, that is the best you can expect with this CB...

It would sure help...I have never heard or seen anyone that had one on a wing...I am not sure that the little CB on the wing has enough power to key one up...
